Note: Al-Muttaqi ruled during the later Abbasid period, and faced various challenges including political intrigue and regional instability. Wasit, as a strategic city located on the banks of the Tigris River in present-day Iraq, served as an important administrative and commercial center during the Abbasid era. The Wasit Mint played a crucial role in producing coins that facilitated trade and economic transactions within the caliphate and beyond.
