Rev: VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP, two Victories holding shield inscribed VOT PR on altar, Ī”SISĀ  in exergue

Note: Constantine I the Great was a Roman emperor who ruled from AD 306 to 337. His reign included the provinces of Gaul, Britannia, Hispania, Italy, and the Eastern provinces, and was marked by significant military, administrative, and religious reforms. The obverse features a helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing left, with a spear over his shoulder. The helmet and cuirass symbolize his military leadership and readiness, while the spear signifies his authority and martial prowess. The reverse shows two Victories standing on either side of an altar inscribed with “VOT PR” (Vota Publica). Each Victory holds a shield, symbolizing the divine favor and protection bestowed upon the emperor. The altar signifies the public vows or promises made for Constantine’s well-being and success.
