Note: Divus Constantine I, also known as Constantine the Great, ruled the Roman Empire from AD 306 to 337. Following his death, he was deified, a practice reserved for esteemed emperors. This coin was issued posthumously to honor his deified status. The obverse features a veiled and draped bust of Constantine I facing right. The veil signifies his deified status, a common representation for emperors who were posthumously deified. The reverse depicts Constantine, veiled, standing in a quadriga (a four-horse chariot) facing right. Above him is a star and the hand of God, symbolizing his ascent to the divine realm. The bronze coin of Divus Constantine I serves as a significant example of how the Roman Empire honored its deified emperors through coinage.
