Note: The Begtiginids were a Turkoman dynasty that ruled parts of Anatolia and al-Jazira (Mesopotamia) after the decline of the Seljuk Empire. Muzaffar al-Din Kokburi was one of the rulers of this dynasty. The coin was probably minted in Irbil, a city located in present-day Iraq, which was a significant center of power during the Begtiginid period. AE Dirhams were a common denomination of copper coinage used in daily transactions within the Begtiginid territories. They typically featured inscriptions denoting the ruler’s name, sometimes the mint location, and other administrative details.
