Note: Prusias II Cynegos was a king of Bithynia who ruled from approximately 182 to 149 BC. He was known for his military campaigns and his efforts to strengthen Bithynia’s position in the region. The epithet “Cynegos” means “the Hunter,” suggesting his love for hunting. Prusias II faced various challenges during his reign. Dionysos, the Greek god of wine, revelry, and fertility, is depicted facing right. He wears a wreath made of ivy and fruit, which are associated with his worship. A centaur, a creature from Greek mythology with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a horse, and the lyre indicates a connection to music and arts.
