Renowned for their unique coinage, their coins often featured distinctive designs. During the period of 185-132 BC, the Parthian Empire was in its early years, with rulers consolidating power and expanding territory. The imagery on the coin reflects the political and military ideology of the Parthian rulers. The depiction of the king as a warrior on the obverse and Arsakes I as a skilled archer on the reverse emphasized the importance of military strength and the prowess of the Parthian cavalry.
