Note: Leo VI, known as Leo VI the Wise, reigned as Byzantine Emperor from 886 to 912 AD. He was renowned for his intellect, promoting education and scholarship during his rule. Leo faced challenges in managing the empire’s borders against Arab and Bulgarian threats. His reign saw legal reforms, including the compilation of the Basilika, a comprehensive legal code.
