Note: Maurice Tiberius ruled the Byzantine Empire from 582 to 602 AD, known for his military campaigns against the Persians, Avars, and Slavs, which secured the empire’s borders. He implemented significant administrative and military reforms to strengthen the empire. His coinage prominently featured Christian symbols, emphasizing his role as a divinely sanctioned ruler. Despite his efforts, Maurice’s reign ended in a military revolt, leading to his overthrow and execution. His death marked the beginning of a period of instability for the Byzantine Empire.
