Note:Ā  Tancred was a prominent leader of the Crusaders, serving as regent of Antioch from 1101 to 1103 and again from 1104 to 1112. He played a key role in the capture of Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Tancred’s rule was marked by efforts to establish Christian governance in the Holy Land, as reflected in coinage depicting Christian symbols such as St. Peter. St. Peter, one of the Twelve Apostles and a prominent figure in Christianity, is depicted with a nimbus or halo around his head. He holds a scepter topped with a cross, symbolizing his role as the foundation of the Christian Church.
