Note: Licinius I was a Roman Emperor who ruled from 308 to 324 AD. Initially appointed as Augustus by Galerius, Licinius co-ruled with Constantine the Great and other members of the Tetrarchy. His reign was marked by power struggles, notably against Constantine, leading to his eventual defeat and execution. The obverse features a radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Licinius I facing right. The radiate crown symbolizes divine favor, while the drapery highlights his noble bearing, and the cuirass underscores his role as a military leader.  The reverse, depicting Jupiter holding Victory and a scepter, with an eagle and captive at his feet, conveys themes of divine protection, military strength, and victory, reinforcing Licinius I’s image as a capable and divinely endorsed ruler. This coin not only facilitated economic transactions but also served as a powerful tool of imperial propaganda, aimed at legitimizing Licinius I’s rule and promoting the stability and security of his reign.
