Note: Gallienus was a Roman emperor who ruled from 253 to 268 AD during the Crisis of the Third Century, a period marked by severe political instability, economic decline, and external threats from barbarian invasions. His reign was notable for his efforts to stabilize the empire amidst these challenges and his attempts to reform the military and administration.  The obverse, depicting Gallienus with imperial attributes, reinforces his authority and divine favor. The reverse, with Victory standing on a globe, emphasizes themes of triumph and universal power, promoting the idea that the emperor, despite the empire’s difficulties, remained a victorious and protective ruler.
