Note: During the reign of Seleukos III Soter, also known as Seleucus III Ceraunus, the Seleucid Empire was facing significant challenges both internally and externally. Seleukos III ascended to the throne of the Seleucid Empire in 225 BC, following the death of his father, Seleucus II Callinicus. His reign was relatively short-lived, ending with his assassination in 223 BC. The Seleucid Empire, at its height, encompassed vast territories spanning from Anatolia to the borders of India. However, by the time of Seleukos III, the empire was in decline, facing pressure from various internal and external threats, including revolts, power struggles, and incursions from neighboring states.
