Note: Antiochus VI Dionysus was a ruler of the Seleucid Empire during the Hellenistic period, reigning from 145 to 142 BC. He was known for his attempts to reclaim territories lost by his predecessors and for his struggle to maintain power amid internal and external challenges. Antiochus VI was often portrayed as a youthful and dynamic ruler, hence the epithet “Dionysus,” associated with youth and vitality. His reign was marked by conflicts with other claimants to the Seleucid throne, particularly Demetrius II Nicator.
