Note: Constantius II was a Roman Emperor who ruled from 337 to 361 AD. He was the second son of Constantine the Great and served as one of the co-emperors following his father’s death. His reign included periods of significant internal conflict and external threats, particularly from the Sassanian Empire and various Germanic tribes.Ā  The obverse features a rosette-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantius II facing right. The rosette diadem signifies his imperial status, the drapery highlights his noble bearing, and the cuirass underscores his role as a military leader.Ā  The reverse shows a phoenix, radiate, standing right on a globe. The phoenix, a mythical bird that regenerates from its ashes, symbolizes renewal and immortality. The globe represents dominion over the world, and the radiate crown on the phoenix signifies divine favor and eternal rebirth.
