Note: Salonina was the wife of Gallienus, who ruled as Roman Emperor from AD 253 to 268. During a period marked by significant military and political turmoil, Salonina held the title of Augusta, emphasizing her elevated status and influence within the empire. The coin’s imagery serves to reinforce Salonina’s role as Augusta and her association with divine figures. Juno, as the goddess of marriage and protector of the state, symbolizes the stability and continuity of the empire, themes crucial during Gallienus’s troubled reign.
